Qatar Waste Grounds Night III
Agfa Ambi Silette with Kodak Gold 200 negative film.
Shortly before I left for England I took a drive out to the middle of nowhere with some cameras. It was a hot humid sultry night and a full moon.
This short series attempts to draw light on a subject of real concern for me. Far out of town an incredibly large piece of the Qatar countryside is being used as a giant rubble dump. The top of these piles you see in the photo is flat. An entire enormous (and spreading) man-made butte of rubble is being steadily raised and it is currently perilously close to the famous Musfer Cave. I fear this cave will soon vanish beneath this giant spreading rubble pile.
