      Thanks Nick yeah they were a regular sight at Thorpdale got to know a few of their boys fantastic blokes they used to call in home for a quick cuppa before they headed off on their journey what a great truck i drove one of these for a little bit a cattle truck felt like i was king of the road thanks Nick

      Thanks Gary yeah mate i loved them they were tough as i used to get around in one with half a sleeper do you know the ones i mean Man it used to scream loved it with its big GM thanks Gary will get some more Atkinsons on board

      Thanks Doug yeah mate a great truck NAH they dont make these any more mate these were very popular in the late 1970s early 1980s to mid 1980s when they were at their best used in most haulage operations very versitile truck and yeah they did sit up nice will get some more of me old Atkinsons shots on line soon thanks Doug

      Sadly no Salty, the real Atkinsons with the wide chassis and US running gear finished around 1980. Then we had the Atkinson 4870, a tarted up version of the International T2670.

      Thanks Craig yeah stunning rig we used to get rides in their trucks they would pick us up and takes us out to the Paddocks around Thorpdale These guys were from West Wyalong and we had a CB in our Bedroom and Mum and Dad never knew and were wondering why all these Truckies were calling in for a cup of tea on their way up to Thorpdale hahahahah thanks Craig

      haha your a classic i swear, were you running the local coffee shop lol. i think we all had a cb in our room growing up i think they were out dated by the time i got mine setup and i dont hear anyone talkin on them these days. last year me and ross got onto 3 uniden grant sideband sets that were brand spanking new so one will be goin into the 3800 i couldnt believe it i thought it was the find of the century
