Has Fonterra not learned anything ? Semi tankers were tried and found wanting 18 to 20 years ago. Some things never change

Fonterra or companies that merged to become Fonterra tried semi tankers for milk pick-up several years and found them wanting. Older NZ dairy farms, especially in the N.I. were small and pokey with their turn-arounds and semi's wouldn't fit without major alterations. Farmer shareholders called the tune then and refused to do the alterations. How different it is now, Fonterra being the dictator. They now run their tanker fleet on the theory that their standardized tankers (truck and trailer) will fit on any dairy farm in NZ.
I just assumed Fonterra New Zealand and Fonterra Australia were the same company ? Perhaps the Aussie truck lengths and weights favour semi's over truck and trailers ?

Thanks Croy AaaaaaaH right Yeah well Im sure they are the same company we have many of this combination run through my area I think the Farm adjusted to acomadate them but Im sure there would be some places where they just would not get in so they would send the single trailers ito them one I presume and a lot of the B-Doubles types would go from factory to factory I would think Im only guessing though thanks for all the Info Croy its Interesting with the two Countries Isnt it
