Lawrie & Tam with 70cm Antenna on Lawrie's tall mast.
This was one of the three antennas in use up on East Lomond on Saturday July 2nd 2016. Conditions in the morning were - unbelievably bad, with one rain storm after another battering our wee caravan with the radios inside. But around lunch time the sky relented, and to the North all was blue and white clouds in tight formations, but to the South it was like the pits of hell, black skies and huge thunderplouts blowing down the Firth. Things stayed fine but very windy for the rest of the day - but radio conditions were pretty lousy, with only a small number of contacts made among the three oparators.
