Dinner on IC-888 BOM-DEL
Left from Chakala at 1715 aiming for the early evening flights for Delhi from Mumbai, and then I missed the 1745/Jetlite, 1755/Jet Airways and the 1800/Indian Airlines, so ended up on the 1900/Indian Airlines (now Air India). Which then took off at 1940 if you please. Totally fouled up on the timings, I guess, but the delays due to ATC start mounting up.
And for my efforts, got this rather decent meal, it was hot and tasty though I think they could have gone with one more side-dish of something, like a starter with the salad.
Anyways, the roti was wonderful, the rajma-chawal-murg curry (beans-rice-chicken) was out of this world and to die for and the salad was fresh. I really think the extra spent on food can be offset better against the extra spent on ceramic casseroles and steel cutlery.
I may just convert to Air India again.
Incidentally, this flight was totally full. Business and economy.
