Ristorante Liguria: Saffron Risotto with Wood Musrooms and Seafood

Ristorante Liguria provided us with our final meal in Zurich and in Switzerland overall. I had the saffron risotto with wood mushrooms and seafood.

 

I was very pleased with my meal. As you can likely note by the photo above is greatly hands on as I had to shuck most of the seafood that was piled upon the dish. It included snails, clams, mussels, and a couple of other animals from the phyla mollusca that I can't quite identify. I did have some issues with grittiness in the risotto, but that is to be expected from a meal of ocean bottom dwellers. The risotto was cooked perfectly and the saffron added a pleasant smoky flavor.
