A moment at Masca, the "hidden" village
Masca is a small mountain village located in Buenavista del Norte on a small mountain road named Masca. The village is home to around 150 inhabitants. The village is in the Teno mountains, which range from 600 to 800 m and extend up to the northwesternmost point of Tenerife. The village was also an area that pirates never attacked. The village in the 1960s was accessed only by paths and was unaccessible by roads. (wikipedia)
I drove up early morning having heard about this place and seen some photographs. It was overcast and raining so I was not very hopeful.
As I crested the cliffs above Masca, the clouds parted, the sun started to climb over the horizon behind me and this perfect rainbow looped over the cloud.
