ST BONIFACE CONVENT. DOVESHILL CRESCENT. REDHILL. BOURNEMOUTH. DORSET. NOVEMBER 2005

Variously known as St Boniface Convent School, St Boniface Convent House of Prayer and Retreat or just plain old St Boniface Convent, it was opened in 1936 by the Poor Handmaidens of Jesus Christ, a religious order of Catholic women founded in Germany in 1851.

Stood in Doveshill Crescent adjacent to the junction with Abney Rd and Hill View Rd.

Plans by Dave Wells to redevelop the site were fought by local residents and the case eventually went to a planning appeal in January 2008 which found in Mr Wells' favour.

The site was duly redeveloped with blocks of one and two bed flats which included the creation of St Boniface Gardens.

I've put 'Redhill' in the title but i suppose it could easily be classed as Northbourne, Ensbury Park or even West Howe. I'm confused.
