JOC on Duty: Exercise Lights Out

Members of the Wyoming National Guard’s Joint Operations Center (JOC) work under dark conditions during the exercise taking place at the Joint Forces Readiness Center in Cheyenne, Wyo., Feb. 6, 2020. The exercise focused on working through a large-scale blackout caused by a winter storm. The JOC team worked through the scenario where they encountered stranded motorists and loss of livestock at local ranches. This exercise allowed members to practice working with the Civil Air Patrol and Department of Transportation, just to name a couple. Participants learned how to respond quickly and work together.
