Romance at U-Bein Bridge
U-Bein Bridge, Amarapura, Myanmar 11/2009
The U-Bein bridge @Amarapura close do Mandalay (Myanmar) is almost 2km long and thus known as the longest Teakwood bridge of the world. No matter whether you walk over the bridge or approaching it from the riverside there is so much life and activity upon and around the bridge: promenaders, lovers, cyclists, merchants and salesmen, buddhists, etc. Especially the evening hours at sunset are a gorgeous and somehow surreal spectacle due to the mystic and fabulously beautiful shaddow play.
