Rita Crane Photography: Pelicans Along the Headlands, Mendocino
This is where they are sleeping at night....after flying and fishing all day.....and you can see hundreds of them lined up along the top of the cliffs that are jutting out to sea. They are the little shapes in the distance along the edge of the cliffs. Do you see them? Some are still flying around looking for the best spot to land in the late evening light.
Note: These rugged headlands are gorgeous and wild, but one needs to respect the danger inherent in this fantastic place as well: www.mendocinofun.com/ocean-safety/
