Smiling to Light

Osteospermum in lilac colors. So beautiful, and yet it's such a simple flower. I don't know how these colors appear for the insect vision, since they can see a broader spectrum of light than we humans (reaching into ultraviolet), but for my eyes this flower is quite irresistible.


This daisy comes from South Africa, and among other names, it's called the Blue-eyed Daisy. Easy to see why.
