Taking a Bite of Sunset
Amazing sunset somewhere in the West Fjords of Iceland.
The area is untouched and almost uninhabited. Flung out into the North Atlantic and almost set adrift from the rest of the country, the region is one of Iceland’s most spectacular. A peninsula fantastically rugged, and isolated by its remote location and limited roads.
The landscape here is truly humbling, ranging from soaring mountains and unfathomably deep and silent fjords to a tortuous coastline dotted with tiny fishing villages.
I can tell you that the silence we experienced while taking this shot was something that reached very deep inside our souls. Very deep.
