Lycée Français de San Francisco
A visit to the Ortega campus of the Lycée Français de San Francisco. This school is for middle school and high school students, and is based on the French national curriculum.
I will be teaching another 'maker art' course at their Tech Camp, during ski week in February 2016. In this visit, I met the team in charge of their extra-curricular activities, and looked at the classrooms I will be working in. This workshop with elementary school children will take place on three separate afternoons, and will be a condensed version of this art maker course I am now teaching at the Lycée's Sausalito campus: bit.ly/maker-art-sausalito-2016
This course will help students develop both their art and tech skills, in a focused but playful setting, as we did with this recent Wonderbox workshop:
I also visited the school's robotics lab, where students are busy creating a variety of different robots. I was really impressed by their focus and the knowledge of their instructor. Note that photos of children are kept private, which explains why this album seems to only contain pictures of buildings and adults.
