Near Occultation of Jupiter by the Moon - Aug 12, 2012

Taken from Coral Towers Observatory at 0530 local time (UT + 10) using an Astrophysics 150 mm apochromatic refractor and Skynyx 2-2 video camera. A six frame mosaic, each frame comprising 500 stacked images. Io can be seen to the left of Jupiter; Callisto and Ganymede to the right.

NOTE

A full occultation did occur but it could not be seen from Cairns
