Former customs house - the oldest standing building in Kristinestad. Goods for sale entering town had to be declared here. After this practice ended in the 19th century, the house was rented out to people of meagre means. The last inhabitants left around 1970, after which the building has been empty. Conservation measures have only touched the outer layers of the building, and inside, you can still see, feel and smell Finnish history.
