2012 Hispanic Federation Gala - Carnaval Nueva York
¡Carnaval Nueva York!

On Thursday, April 19th, the Hispanic Federation hosted its star-studded 2012 Annual Benefit Gala at the Waldorf=Astoria Grand Ballroom. Under the theme of “Carnaval Nueva York,” the Federation’s gala welcomed more than 600 of the nation’s leading public officials, community leaders, media celebrities and corporate elites to support programs and services for the Latino community. The Federation raised more than $1 million dollars at the event.

The event featured co-Masters of Ceremonies Laz Alonso, Hollywood star of blockbuster movies Avatar and Fast & Furious, and Entertainment Host of Univision's Sal y Pimienta Lourdes Stephen. Performances by Brazilian band Samba Novo infused the evening with the contagious rhythms and sounds of Brazil’s Carnaval.
