Birthday cake
Mr P requested a Black Forest gateau. I tried a James Martin recipe after Charlie insisted that it had to be a proper cake and not the Delia Swiss Roll style that I wanted to do.
It has taken a total of five hours to make, plus criminal quantities of eggs, cream, black cherries and chocolate, and the "chocolate shards" are some cheffy James Martin thing that I'm not sure about. I think it looks more like a Mordor Cake than a Black Forest cake...
