Dave King - Crass logo

From the flyer for the show "Symbol by Dave King" at Goteblud, San Francisco:

"In 1977, In the wilds of Essex, England, Dave King created a logo for his friend Penny's impassioned manifesto: "Christ's Reality Asylum" . In the intervening 34 years, what became the Crass symbol has been emblazoned on records, flags, clothing and human bodies. This exhibit will be the first time the artist has shown original sketches for the logo, alongside alternate versions and contemporary "remixes".

Dave King now lives in San Francisco and is a graphic artist and photographer."

The photo shows the marking out of what is now a ten foot diameter, red and black, Crass symbol wall drawing.

I'm totally stoked to have been commissioned to photograph Dave King's installation at Goteblüd
