Fllying Dragon EV3 Robot (pair)
This Lego Mindstorms EV3 robot design is good for FIRST Lego League (FLL). Medium-sized tires offer a good balance between speed and traction. The Fllying Dragon features interchangeable attachments inspired by Lego Grandad ( www.youtube.com/watch?v=hNON7evryBE ); see the adjacent renders on this Flickr Photostream. They are driven by a "Dog Gear" on the front-facing EV3 Medium Motor. Two EV3 Color Sensors face downwards for Line Following, and an EV3 Gyro Sensor is buried deep inside for accurate turns. The green items are optional braces to help secure an attachment onto the robot. The attachments can do the common FLL tasks, such as "hooking" and "grabbing". The black attachment is a variation on the Lego FAR Gripper Arm Tool by Orlando_2k ( www.flickr.com/photos/42988571@N08/19387617039/in/album-7... ). There is plenty of room to attach other things to the front end of the EV3 intelligent brick.
