    Well that is just way cool! nice job! How did you 'finish' the edges where it meets the sole?

    They are built from scratch. So the bottom edge is tucked under the sole- HOWEVER I have seen recovered shoes that they pry the edges of the shoe up and then reglue. (BARGE cement!!!!)

    Oooh cool! You are amazing to make your own shoes! I have made many many things in my life, but never shoes. It appears I now have a new goal to achieve! I may try re-covering some shoes with embroidered fabric. Barge Cement...thanks for the tip!

    I am in love with the way you did the roses ... is it just fabric under the stitching ala applique style?

    Yes, I traced placement and stuck it in place with basting glue

    It's theonly way to hoop a shoe, I guess. Beautiful work. Is there an online how-to for making shoes?
