Sarasin Bridge - The road to Thailand's mainland
The older and lower Sarasin Bridge was built in 1967, spanning 600 m over the Pak Prah strait connecting Phang Nga Province with Phuket Island. After its renovation in 2011 its middle section was raised, it received a sightseeing tower and was converted into a pedestrian promenade.
Side-by-side to the old Sarasin Bridge run the newer and higher Thao Thep Krasattri Bridge and Srisoonthorn Bridge which handle all the traffic now.
