$1.3 million U.S. Grant for Literacy for Peace and Development Program (LIPAD)

Ambassador Thomas signs a $1.3 million U.S. grant in support of the Literacy for Peace and Development Program (LIPAD) for adults in the Sulu Archipelago. LIPAD is a three-year project that aims to increase the literacy of out-of-school youth and adult women with the lowest literacy in the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (ARMM).
