Red Fox, (vulpes vulpes) photographed in Western New York.

Shot with a 400mm lens. I have been stalking this guy for a few months. This image is the culmination of many long hours standing in the woods.

 

This experience reminds me of a quote by famous wildlife photographer Ingo Arndt:

 

"Last, be patient. You have to be okay with the fact that it often takes hours, days, or weeks to get a picture that really means something."

 

I can tell you from personal experience that this quote is absolutely true. However, this is also one of my most rewarding photographs because of the time, patience and dedication it took to capture it.
