Leading Lines
A leading line draws the viewer into the image and takes the eye on a journey.

Sometimes the line creates an easy path to the main subject or beyond, into infinity.

Occasionally the line is implied, while lines don’t all need to be straight. A line can also lead the viewer right out of the frame.

These landscapes, which reflect my love of both travel and photography, all share this one common compositional element – leading lines.
