Ritter Range, Ansel Adams Wilderness

    Newer Older

The trail goes on forever. The Ritter Range has to be one of the more spectacular run of mountains in the American West, running down the spine of Ansel Adams Wilderness from Yosemite's Mt. Lyell to the Minarets west of Mammoth.

This is another magical parcel of wilderness, between Rush Creek and Donahue Pass. I found a big boulder I could stand on, and shot this vertical - the Pacific Crest Trail meandering through the scene - it's got that 'yellow brick road" vibe.

    Cheers and all that...
    Steve D.

I agree with the yellow brick analogy, that is one defined trail and a beautiful image, Steve.

Very nice vertical scene; I really like the contrast of the blue and green.
