Lower Palisades Lake, Kings Canyon National Park

I love this picture. It rained the night before, but dawn broke clear at Lower Palisades Lake. Gotta love Kings Canyon.

This view is southeast, towards Mt. Bolton Brown, Mt. Prater, and Mather Pass.

    What a beautiful place.
I love it that there is a person in the landscape to help me put it into perspective!

    Awesome beauty.

Easy to see why you love this place. Excellent capture of it's essence and natural beauty. The tent and person adds nice scale and perspective. Great textures in the rocks and ridges. Sweet reflections too. Gorgeous mountainscape Steve.

That;'s what I call five star accommodations, Steve. Showing me what I missed this summer; this is a spectacular view. Great framing of a very well exposed dramatic scene.

Looks like a beautiful spot Steve, really digging the warm light here - gotta love the high country!

I can see why you love it. The tent adds a human touch to increase the sense of solitude and vastness of the Sierra wilderness.

Funny, I didn't have any pics in that sequence without the tent. The perspective is a little boogered in this image due to the wide angle - we're actually camped on a ledge about 50 ft. above the waters edge.
    Thanks for looking!
