@Santa Barbara, California

The pinnacle of your sailing vacation will be a trip to the majestic Channel Islands National Park, where you'll experience marine life and scenery like nowhere else on earth.

The Santa Barbara Channel makes for a challenging and beautiful area to learn to sail and cruise. Here it is not uncommon to have winds in excess of 25 to 30 knots with 4-8 foot seas out in the channel while the inner waters, within a couple of miles of the coastline, experience a gentle 10 to 12 knots and 1-2 foot seas. The variety of conditions here teaches you how to handle a boat and be confident in any number of situations and weather patterns. Santa Barbara is a sailor's paradise.

The average temperature here is about 75 degrees, with plenty of sunshine. During the sailing trip, you are likely to run into whale, dolphins, seals, or sea lions. It is an incredibly amazing experience and great enjoyment.
