Old Adobe Road
A little bit of old California, when it was still part of Mexico, remains in the agricultural area right outside of Watsonville. Near the end of this one-lane dirt road is the Castro Adobe of Rancho San Andreas, "a rare 19th century two-story Monterey style adobe".
I drove down to see if I could have a look and maybe get some shots, but they have a high wall surrounding the property and I was unable to get in.
But I did get this shot, which I quite like, that gives you a real feel for the area.
This is my Photo Friday entry for the May 18, 06 challenge: "The Road"
