Sunset on Myrtle Beach

HDR Image (I combined 3 jpeg images in Photomatix Pro)

I normally run RAW images through Photomatix Pro, tonight I decided to try jpeg images just to see the difference. The most noticeable difference is the speed that Photomatix runs at compared to running tiffs. Much faster running the jpeg...file size makes a difference. You can be the judge on the quality of running jpegs versus raw images.

As I explored Photoshop CS5 tonight I was working with RAW images. I converted a file of RAW images to jpegs for long term storage. If you have photoshop, there is a very cool conversion process that many may not know about.

In Photoshop select File, Scripts, Image Processor. From there you can tell photoshop to convert, run actions and a lot more on many photos at one time.

Youtube video, called Image Processor, the video uses CS3 but works with CS4 and CS5.
