Goldcrest (Regulus regulus), Auderghem, Brussels

In late October 2010, we had an invasion of Goldcrests (Regulus regulus) in western Europe. They might have come from Fennoscandia or Western Siberia. This one crashed into a window of our house, so I put on a fir tree in the garden. Luckily, it recovered well and flew away, just seconds after the picture was taken.
