1992 Ford Mustang LX Hatchback
Fords Pony car, the Mustang was first introduced in April, 1964.
The 1979-93 third generation Fox body Mustang, apart from the long nose, short deck styling, was completely different to previous Mustangs.
A substantial update in 1987 saw the chisel nose grille, quad headlights replaced by a more rounded nose and inside a new dash. From the new 1987 look until the end of the Fox body Mustangs in 1993 there were few changes From 1992 on, the body mould that ran around the car was now body colour, not black.
Still available in Coupe, Hatchback and Convertible.
The Turbo 4 cyl SVO and the V6 now discontinued, the only models available were the LX and GT
The LX, standard 4 cyl, (5.0 option), single horizontal bar in the grille, flush single headlights, glass quarter windows replaced the louvres and the taillights got clear lenses.
The 5.0 GT featured new round fog lamps and gained aerodynamic lower bodyside skirting, louvered taillights, a new rear deck wing and new turbine style alloy wheels.
1992 Engines; 105hp 2.3 4 cyl or 225hp 5.0 V8.
