HMAS QUADRANT underway in choppy seas. The ship originaly HMS QUADRANT operated under the pennant number G.11 but was transferred to the Royal Australian Navy in 1945 and operated in the British Pacific Fleet. As such she, like other destroyers, changed her pennant number to one under the D flag (in this case D17) to bring them in line with the style of the United States Navy.
