2015 Volunteer Recognition Luncheon
Palisades Medical Center celebrated National Volunteer Week by holding a special luncheon at The Waterside in North Bergen to recognize its dedicated volunteers for their tireless efforts.

“Our volunteers play a vital role in helping Palisades Medical Center provide high quality care for our community,” said Bruce J. Markowitz, President and CEO of Palisades Medical Center. “They truly exemplify what it means to make a strong commitment to caring for our neighbors each and every day.”

During the Volunteer Recognition Luncheon, Mr. Markowitz and other Palisades Medical Center staff gave special awards and recognition to four local women who have amassed a cumulative total of more than 70 years of volunteer service at Palisades Medical Center. The special recognition was given to:
• Beatriz Garcia of Edgewater (20 years of volunteer service)
• Pearl Sodosky of Cliffside Park (19 years of volunteers service)
• Katherine Lockwood of North Bergen (17 years of volunteer services)
• Eronidez Cristofol of West New York (16 years of volunteer service)

Commemorative pins were also presented to the following volunteers to recognize their cumulative hours of service at Palisades Medical Center:

More than 100 volunteers offer their time and energy in almost every department of the Medical Center. Volunteer activities at Palisades Medical Center include assisting the nursing staff and patients, working in the Gift Shop, performing clerical duties, and organizing special fundraising events.
