Blood, Sweat and Tea by Tom Reynolds (LSRL - 2/30+)

I was recommended this book by a friend and I love it! It's a non-fiction account about an ambulance driver and paramedic for the London Ambulance Service. London is a pretty crazy place. And this book follows everything that Tom as a paramedic encounters - drunks, stabbings, heart attacks. It also features a couple of posts on the London Bombings. It was really interesting to look into someone's life and job like this and I really enjoyed it. He has a second book called More Blood, More Sweat and Another Cup of Tea which is also on my list to read and I can't wait to get onto it!
"I'm not sorry that we, and the hospital, were able to keep you alive long enough for your family to arrive and gather around you. I hope that there was a part of you that was still aware of what was happening, and was able to hear their words of love. I hope that it was worth the pain so that you could hear those words, and feel their presence. When I left you at the hospital your heart was beating and you were breathing. I hope that your end was without pain."
