Pyongyang subway North Korea

    Newer Older

After 2 trips in North Korea, i could visit more than 2 subway stations! So i can say that there are more than 2 stations!
They do not show them to tourists as they are just normal stations, without any special decoration..

Is it true that a lot of the people riding the subway are just "actors," pretending that they are going to work? By the way, you are a champion for having this collection of photos. Or just a champion of photography in general.

No! They are real people !!!

      Are the ladies holding hands?

That was normal in Taiwan for women - and for men in India actually.

@Eric: Did you take the line to the west?

@bongopix: The rumor with the potemkinsubway exists until today. It´s a trafficsystem like in every other citys in the world. They only like to show the most beautiful stations to foreign visitors. Maybe some others will inlude strategic equipment and they are (like Eric already mentioned) not so high decorated like the well known ones.

I am so jealous. For some weird, unexplanable reason I am dying to get to see these gems that are frozen in time. The train stations just have caught my imagination as they are so different to anywhere else in the world. As is the country in general I guess. Such a strange place and fascinating situation they are stuck in whilst their current government remains in power.

Just actors going to work? That's a great myth! LOL Not even North Korea would go to such lengths! LOL

I w-dn't be surprised reading questions in comments like what color is milk and snow in NoKo?? Surely it's red colored, and not white ................................................................................
