Hawks of Alba are a vibrantrock trio focussed on sweet harmony, fuzzy guitars and a few sounds you may not have heard before.
After spending the last 2 years living and playing music in Glasgow, Scotland under the name “Running with Horses”, Sarah and Aidan returned to Australia ready to build on their successes overseas. In 2008 the band enjoyed radio play on BBC Radio One and BBC Radio Scotland, appeared at T in the Park 08 (Kinross, Scotland), and were included on various podcasts all over the world.
The descision to change their name to something more appropriate to suit their onstage performances was an easy one. Hannah joined the band in August 2009 on guitar and vocal duties, and now the hawks are ready to fly. New recordings are scheduled for November and Hannah will make her live debut in December.
"Growling, menacing fuzzy guitars. Breathy female vocals. Thudding drums. Great rock song. There's a nineties aesthetic - but still a fresh sound."

"This song transports me back to my favourite era in music. The 90s! Groaning guitars & slack grunge drums topped off by this ladies husky, careless voice! So appealing,..."

"..classic indie rock - the 21st Century version, which is bass-less... And it works very well, too. I didn't even realise there was a bass 'missing' on the first couple of listens..."
