Oct 5 2013: the eastern line of five warships sending up fireworks, HMAS SYDNEY [IV] in foreground - LSIS Bradley Darvill, RAN.
6682. East of Sydney Harbour Bridge, with the Opera House to the right, a line of five warships spread out over several miles towards the Heads are seen acting as fireworks platforms in what will merge into a storm of fireworks, smoke and lights. Once again the Oliver Hazard Perry/Adelaide Class missile frigate HMAS SYDNEY [IV] is in the foreground, but a further line of ships on the other side of the Harbour bridge [just off-stage to the right, is extending the roaring display into the Western suburbs. In short, few if any of Sydney's 4.5 million people can have missed it.
