Job Corps students help to restore Grey Towers National Historic Site. $2,440,000 in Recovery Act funds were allocated to repair and refurbish the house and grounds of the ancestral home of the first Chief of the Forest Service and two-term Pennsylvania governor Gifford Pinchot on Tuesday August 3, 2010 in Milford, PA. This project at the 123-year-old site repairs various deficiencies with the buildings and grounds, restores areas of the historic landscape, improves visitor safety and site security, provides a more sustainable facility, and enhances the visitor experience. It helps to ensure the historic site is maintained for years to come. USDA Forest Service Photo by Keith Riggs.
