The Laboratory, RHS Wisley.

The laboratory at Wisley may look like a grand country house that has stood for centuries, but it was actually built in 1916 to provide lecture rooms and research facilities for RHS students and scientists.

The building was designed to be in keeping with the gardens and was built using recycled materials from derelict properties.

For many years the area in front was not the impressive canal you see now but many functional greenhouses.
