This is a painting from a photo taken by Anders Lejczak (with permission) - www.flickr.com/photos/polycola/24890374595/ - The piece was completed in May of 2015 for an art show called Hueniverse which was based on hip hop lyrics that inspire me. The song referenced is by OutKast, and titled "Mainstream" - released on the 1996 album ATLiens. The image speaks to the mainstream hold of social media on all cultures of the world, and the impact of self image on a persons' confidence, and how it relates to potential and growth.
