  • Yes, it's an arrow shot into the ground.
  • What is this slight change in color? Is it just a shadow? - magnus_lauglo
  • It must be, or maybe a slight reflection of the sun on the bricks.

Fallen Sword

Newer Older

A fallen sword lies in the grass,
the blood of those who died stains the ground and runs through the creek,
I knew that for my king, this battle was lost,
but I felt in my heart a new day will appear over the horizon and victory will find us once more.

I think it would look better if the sword was more integrated into the scene. Like, have it stuck into the ground, not just on top of it.
Or, maybe on its other side, as that would be the more probable position in which the sword would fall.

But that's just my two cents.

Those rocks are great, and I like the landscaping.

Something cool and a little different, very nice - though I have no idea what the upright piece behind it is...maybe I'm just not thinking in the right direction?

    ^I think it's an arrow.

It looks good, a very original idea.

    Pixie-
I had really though of putting it into the ground, but then it would haven't fit the space and would have looked somewhat awkwardly big. Thanks for the thought.

I love this just for how fresh it is. I agree with The Magic Tuba Pixie, though I see what you're saying as well. My two cents would have to be with the blood and its consistency. I think it would've looked even more awesome if you hade used plates, giving it more of a flowing feeling.

How'd you get the blood to stick on there? it looks too weirdly spaced to be bricks with studs on the side

Very nice. It's not often you see this kind of thing floating around.

Looks like double-sided tape to me.
