Common Eider (Male)

A number of duck species use head bobbing part of their socializing/mating routine. Eiders throw their head back and then forward in an exaggerated fashion, while doing a bit of vocalizing at the same time. This male is mid-bob. The image was taken on a small lake in Iceland.
