Photos for a blog tutorial on picking up stitches. This is me picking up stitches for a neckline.

(Yarn is Berocco Ultra Alpaca, pattern is the Dusseldorf Aran by Fiona Ellis.)

Lol just found your site and love it. Love the name but In my case it would have to call it knitting insane. I'm currently on a yarn diet, before my husband realizes that I have three big rubber mates of yarn, in the 8x26' space we live. Yes the measurement is right. 208sq feet.

What I really wanted to comment on was... I use a crochet hook to pick up my stitches. I use a hair elastic on the end to keep them from sliding off. Once the hook gets fairly full, I just take the elastic off slip them to the knitting needle I need. Use another hair elastic to keep these from sliding off, and go back to the crochet hook. Sounds complex but it really isn't. Hope this helps someone out there.
