Flatiron Building - New York

Newer Older

Hello Everyone,

Here is another one of the Flatiron Building and the Event Horizon statue. As you can see by the big motion blur in front of the building, a large teen tour from Italy had walked up in front of where I was taking pictures. At first I was upset thinking they would ruin my image and then the light bulb went off.... Pull out your ND filter and they will all disappear :)

What I really like about this one is that the group of people are all blurred out as they move around the scene but the "Event Horizon" Statue stands still.

By USA TODAY
Sculpted human forms have taken to the sidewalks, ledges and rooftops of New York.
Thirty-one sculptures have been installed in and around the Flatiron District's Madison Square Park. Due to stay until Aug. 15 and presented by the Madison Square Park Conservancy and the City of New York, they're the work of Britain's Antony Gormley. The nude sculptures, in iron or Fiberglas, depict the artist.

Really would like to photograph this building soon but is using a tripod for a long exposure allowed?
