This was taken last year with my first digital camera, the Canon S2 IS.
Had found this gorgeous magnolia tree in full bloom in the neighborhood. It was by the road side, and didn't fall under any homeowner's property, so I didn't feel uncomfortable taking pictures here.. Anyhow, just finished up taking close-up and "macro" shots, when I just happened to look up because I felt rain drops on my hand... little did I know that the view looking up was just as beautiful as the macros I was interested in..
The white background is nothing but cloudy sky... this was taken when I didn't know anything about exposure control or Aperture settings or anything.. I simply put the camera in "P" mode and clicked whatever I liked!!!!!
I went to the same tree yesterday, but due to the frost and colder days we've had last week, the buds had signs of "burning" before even blooming, and thus didn't look as pretty! I was a bit bummed out, but can't really control nature, so just shot some wild flowers growing on the ground and called it a day.
