The tree at the crossroads

** please see below

I pass this tree many times, and it is always impressive. It is situated by a crossroad.

As you come up the hill it dominates the horizon and seems so very large.

When returning home, you come round a bend and there it is, as this shot shows.

The road to the right of the tree leads eventually to the Crook o' Lune way down the hillside.

Taken yesterday when I went to get Lucy's fish.

**Looks OK viewed large.

Taken at the junction of Kellet Road (from Lancaster to Kellet) with the minor road from Halton on Lune to Slyne with Hest.

***My grateful thanks to everyone who has viewed this shot, over 10,000 by the 4th Mar 2012.

Thank you, also, all the people who have liked, commented on and awarded it.

I am more than astonished.
