Sunset at Upper Young Lakes
This was truly spectacular to watch. The sun broke through some thunderheads on the other end of our view and for about two minutes it set this canyon on fire with orange light. It was something otherwordly and in an instant reminded me what I trekked almost 7 miles with 50 pounds on my back from Tuolomne Meadows to see. A sunset like no other I have ever seen. It rained so hard later that night that we had to to leave the following morning, a day earlier than scheduled because all of our stuff got soaked. But it was worth it to see this.
