In a glade
Colorado Model Neda.
To answer some questions about the "in a glade" shot. The entire shoot was all about deal making and trade. I was shooting for the images and my portfolio, the models were going to get the images for their portfolios as well and a weekend away at a really nice vacation house. The sponsors got images of the products they provided and the owner of the vacation house got images of his house to use for advertising. So, a couple of weeks prior to the shoot I went about making deals where ever I could . I knew that I wanted to try some really low light stuff so I hooked up with a company that sold glow sticks, club novelties like glowing mouth pieces and in the case of this shot a bag that had 50 glow necklaces. The kind you break to make them glow. We played for a while with different ways to us them and eventually had them all strung together and wrapped around the models body. The first thing we noticed was that these don't put of nearly as much light as you would think. We opened up the camera as much as we could.. starting dropping shutter speed until we were finally at 6 second exposures. A ridiculous amount of time for a model to hold still and look as sexy as Neda did in the shot. But, she pulled it off like the pro she is. We snapped quite a few of them and we were not really even sure we had anything until we got them on the computer.
So to answer some of the questions we have had about the glowing rope... its actually just glow necklaces that you find at carnivals, fairs and events. When bought in bulk its pretty cheap I think. I would love to see any work that others do with this idea/stuff.
Thanks for the questions, comments, favs and views.
