    Thank you!

We had much more snow on the ground in December (close to 2 ft) but then had lots of rain and warm temps. I am hoping for some more snow soon.
I hope you will show the completed skein!
Are you thinking about making Acer?

I should mention how much l enjoyed knitting Acer. Partly because I frogged a sweater I wasn't happy with to harvest the Peace Fleece. I know that I will wear this one frequently. I might even make a second one with some handspun that has been marinating in my stash for years.

yes, but i'm a bit anxious. i've never made a cardigan. 2009 will be the year of moving forward on the sweater front. I'm thinking Peace Fleece Kamchatka Seamoss. but that ancient fern....

    what size did you make?

I made the size that is 37 inches and am happy with the fit. I would be happy to help you if you get stuck. It may even be a good excuse to get together again.

Do you make your own dye?.
  • looseends 6y

No, I use primarily Country Classic dyes.

Years and years ago in this country. The women gathered a type of moss off the rocks then boiled it up and soaked the wool in it.There was a program on tv a while back called Hands you should look it up i think you would like it. RTE.iRELAND.aLL THE BEST FROM ireland.

Thank you. I will do some investigation about that technique!
